Printer has worked fine for 4 months, but now--- I can get it to register with GCP, and it shows online, but if I try and send a print job, the job just goes into Queue, and the printer now shows offline. The printer does show up as "available" for local printing, but even that goes away after about an hour.
More info: Using Google Cloud Print with Chromebook. Verified that computer and modem are working properly by setting up an old Epson printer.
Have reset the Dell to factory defaults, Upgraded the firmware on the Dell, Set a static IP address for the Dell, deleted all old print jobs that were "queued" or "expired", Changed my Gmail address, Upgraded my Chrome software to Beta, and re-registered the printer so many times I can do it in my sleep! Spent 2 hrs with Google Chromebook support, and did everything they suggested. Called my Centurylink internet provider and reset the modem, and did everything they could think of. Called Dell, but was told that since my printer was 4 months old, I would have to pay extra to get service. I was not happy about this, as it has to be something simple in my setup ( used for 4 months already!) , but decided to bite the bullet and pay the ransom. Called and was told they don't work weekends or holidays- call back on Tuesday.
Sort of stuck here, as I only have Chromebooks, and they only work with Google Cloud Print.
Anyone have any ideas what might be keeping this computer form communicating like the Epson does? Should I just go out and buy an HP?
