1350cnw printer prints gray instead of black

I am using Dell 1350cnw printer.  I was printing a long document and the text became more and more grayish.  Also pictures in the text lack black color.  I installed a new black cartridge. No effect.  I carried all possible maintenance actions (cleaning, etc).  Nothing changed.  Any advice?  Thank you very much.

Dell E514DW - Setting default scan parameters at Operator Panel???

Is there a way to save my new scan parameters as default into the e514dw mfp for scanning from the device (not the software)?  When I initiate a new scan from the MFP, I must touch every menu option in order to change the defaulted 100dpi to higher value.  Is there any way to save my desired configuration into the MFP for future scans?  I realize they can be set via the Printer Hub but I'd like to be able to scan without a trip back to the computer.  Thanks.

Dell C1765NFW printer scans and copies with unwanted PINK background!

I have an unusual problem.  This Dell printer works wonderfully with printing, but when I use it to make copies or to scan something to a flash drive, it always does it with a "PINK" background!  What gives?  Is there a fix?  Any assistance would be most appreciated.

I've recently encountered an error with a client's printer's scanning function:
I can no longer scan via the "Scan to PC" button on the printer. When I attempt to use this button, I receive the following error message on my computer: "The requested image could not be scanned. Please, check if your scanner is connected properly. If your system does not have enough memory, please, try to reduce the image resolution or size". On the printer's digital display, I see a message that says "System Resource not ready or busy".

That being said, the printer can scan images using Windows Fax and Scan, so the scan functionality is actually working, but the Scan to PC button is not.

Information about the setup:
- Connected to my computer via USB
- Windows 10
- Plenty of free space on computer, memory/disk space is not an issue

Things I've tried:
- Completely uninstalling and and reinstalling the printer drives and all related software
- Restarting Windows Imaging Acquisition service
- Ensuring the printer is set as the default
- Restarting the Spooler service

Although the client can currently scan via Windows Fax and Scan, he wants this issue fixed ASAP because the button on the printer is more convenient and saves him time for the large amount of scanning he has to do.

How can I fix this issue?

E525W Scanner disappears from Dell Printer Hub

Can anyone tell me how to get the scanner to stay available within the Dell printer hub?    I installed it, used it successfully, and then when I came back to it a couple of weeks later it was missing.   I downloaded the driver, installed it, rebooted, and it was back and available.    I've had to do the reinstall process twice now.  

I have rebooted my PC since the last time I used it.

I have turned the E525w off since the last time I used the scanner.   I usually only turn it on when I need to print something.

Running an upgrade to Win 10 from Win 7 that has been stable for a year.

Any ideas how to keep the scanner available permanently?

C1765nfw Scan produces Grey Stripe down page

When scanning/copying the output page ends up with a Greg stripe down the left hand side about 10mm wide. Tried printing and all prints fine,  no issues, so something with the scan part. Question is can it be fixed. Its not that old, only done 2k prints and not that many scans.

Somehow one of my coworkers set our 2665 so that it always pre-selects one specific email address (always the same one) and we have to manually remove that address every time we need to scan to a different address. How do we remove that email as the default?

Dell E515dw software installation hangs and never finishes

We have a dell E515dw printer.  When we download the software package directly from the support page for the installation never finishes.  It gets stuck about half way.  How can we resolve this?

Del XPS 15 9550 & HP Laserjet 400 not being seen as a printer.

Hi

I have a new Dell XPS 15 9550 with Windows 10, and when I plug in my "old" printer (that was working on my previous laptop top) HP Laserjet 400 M451 dn via USB the printer is seen as a USB storage device & not a printer. Have downloaded the the latest drivers from HP and tried to install them, and it gets to the point of seeing the device , but times out when trying to install the drivers.

Is this due to the the fact that the printer is USB 2 and the laptop has 

  • 2x USB 3.0, Thunderbolt 3 (also supports USB-C 3.1 Gen 2)

Are these compatible with each other should they work ?

Any ideas as to how to get these to work with each other ?

Printer Fails - My Last Dell Product?

I'm now in chat with a CS representative at the contact center in the Philippines.  My printer appears to have died under warranty.  This is what I've just been informed of:

Dell has a new policy in which we would need you to take a picture of your Service Request number, Name, Date and Time today (written on a piece of paper) beside the Service Tag found at the rear part of the printer, we will need you to take the picture on the actual printer.

I'm incredulous, but that's just me.  I've never (ever) been asked to do this nor heard of any policy like this.  What gives, Dell?  

My initial reaction is that is increases the cost of any Dell product beyond any competitor, so based on cost, I can't imagine buying another Dell product.

Dark vertical stripe on prints

Hello Printer Experts,

I hope that you can help me. My E525w has just started printing with a dark stripe down the page, always in the same place, sometimes darker than others. I have not recently changed any cartridges.

I have tried removing the cartridges and cleaning inside with the cleaning stick - no difference. I have peered inside the back and can see a vague toner stripe on the roller, which I tried to wipe off but to no avail.

I'd be grateful of any help at all (I'm a bit of a printer dummy!).

3115cn - Email Address Book Keeps Deleting Itself

I've added email addresses to our printer's address book several times via the printer's website. For some reason the address book keeps deleting itself. Any ideas on what is going on?

Cannot add dell 2130cn printer to xps laptop

I am trying to add (my old) dell 2130cn printer to my new dell XPS laptop, but the 2130cn printer is not shown in the list of available drivers. When I select Windows Update, the list refreshes, but 2130cn is still not shown. Does anyone know how I can add the driver to the list?

The 2130cn is used in a Mac network, so I used the Bonjour app from apple on my previous laptop, and this worked without any problems.

Any help is appreciated.

How are you supposed to be able to tell if you are using the latest driver?  You can't go by the date and there is not one page that shows all the versions and drivers that I can find. And the options change depending on what OS you might have listed.

I have found a A13, A14, and A15 but there is no way that I can tell if there is a A16 or A17 that even exists.  Any suggestions?

Not recognizing/accepting new toner cartridge. C1765nfw

I have a c1765nfw all-in one printer. A few days ago I noticed it was printing pretty light. I took the cartridge (black) out and shook it a few times. Put it back in the printer. I restarted the printer and the message came up that the cartridge was empty and needed to be replaced.  I did not believe this as it is not that old.  Nonetheless, I got a new cartridge and put it in the printer. Giving me the same message "Replace Cartridge."


What is odd is that there were no messages prior to this telling me the cartridge was low, etc.
