C1660W and label print

When printing labels text has smeared/ ghosting effect. Same file prints fine on regular paper. Problem only occurs with label stock.

Hi

We are a small charitable community centre. We have a DellB2375dfw printer. We would like to be able to charge the users of our community centre for the printing that they do.

I have added a user to the printer, but printing and copying is possible without being logged in. 

Can I force the user to log in before printing or copying? And then can I generate a report to show how much printing or copying they have done? If so, how? The manual does not mention this.

H625CDW sleep of death

Hello,

My H625CDW is set up on a wired network.  When it goes into sleep mode, it goes into a sleep of death.  While in this death (or maybe it's a coma), it will respond to pings, but it usually will not:

-Print from a network computer

-Respond to a Google Cloud Print

-The web gui management interface will not respond (typical port 80 web page)

A port scan of the printer IP reveals the following ports are open: 21, 23, 80, 139, 443, 515, 631, 8080, 9100

The printer has to be manually awakened to get out of this coma and even then it will not respond on the management web gui interface.

I have seen the support topic recommending setting up a static DHCP entry.  I have already done that and it did not seem to have any effect, although it's possible it improved the response to print jobs.  I even experimented with static ARP (the mapping between an IP address and a local MAC address) and this didn't help either.  Regardless, the fact that this printer cannot maintain its own DHCP lease without coddling is disgusting to me.  In 20 years I have never seen a device that required this kind of special snowflake treatment.  Even my Nest thermostat, a battery device that scavenges power from my furnace only when the furnace is running and with real energy conservation concerns, knows how to check in and renew a DHCP lease on the appropriate interval.  And here we have a mains powered, wired connection printer that can't handle these basics. Shameful, especially for something touted as a business product.

I am running the latest firmware as of today.  I've been updating firmware religiously whenever a new one comes out. I've been experiencing this problem since I bought the printer.

I see other threads for similar issues with other printers and I find others coming to the same conclusion as me, but many of those threads ended without real resolution a year or two ago.

Has anyone got a solution for this issue?

Stuck in 'processing"

I have a C1765 printer.  I am getting the 093-933 error code with a new printer cartridge. I went into the "customer mode", went to parameters, did "print" and the machine is just stuck on "processing" and nothing ever happens.  I have to wonder how can it print a report if it does not find a toner cartridge?

Could a bad chip on the cartridge give me these headaches?

having a double-dash image that repeats down the entire page.

Closest ID of the problem from the users guide is the "dots" problem.

Used the Tool Box and printed the Pitch Configuration Chart.

My double-dash image measures from "START" to just past a-2 (Xero) by 1/8" - meaning I have a repeating pattern of dashes 1 1/4" all down the page on my prints.

This started while still on the "starter toners" so I changed toner cartridge with the BLACK Dell toner and there is still no change.

So, after running the Pitch Configuration Chart the user guide says:

"Compare the space between the color spots on your output with that on the Pitch Configuration Chart, and then locate the cause of the problem."

So, WHERE do I locate the cause of the problem?

Yesterday morning Suddenly my dell printer stopped working, there were no print coming out from printer. I was very upset that what i do for this. I searched on Google that Dell printer customer support phone number and i found a number i.e. 18006244491 I called to this number for dell printing issue. They fixed it in a 15 minutes. Thank you for the team who has supported me in a very professional way.

Email Settings for 2155cdn with O365

I was wondering if it is possible to connect my 2155cdn printer to Office 365 so that I can get it to email.

Or am I going to have to setup a SMTP Relay to successfully configure my 2155.

I can't find any documentation or help on setting up SMTP settings for my 2155.

mac version of driver for E525w printer?

I have a Dell Multicolor Laser Printer E525w.  Its firmware is a few versions old; in particular I'm wanting Version 01.04.07, A05 (page: dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=NC1WV )

According to the page there is only Windows driver-installers available (even though the update is solely for MacOS issues, ironically.)

Other things I tried, to no avail:


(a) Checked that my printer's menus suggest it has "firmware update downloads' enabled:
    Menu > System > Admin Menu > Secure Settings > Software Download > Enable
 (This was the existing setting, and it's been connected to the internet for months.)

(b) download the driver .exe, move it to USB, and insert into printer;

(c) As above, but extract the .exe into a folder before inserting into printer via USB

Btw, the whole reason I'm looking for the firmware update is that the printer seems to often not respond to wireless print-requests, and I have to turn it off/on for every print job.

Dell 1250C Tool Box

My Dell 1250C was first making a loud grinding banging noise where the black toner is and the black toner light was on and the error light was flashing. I tried changing the toner and it still made the noise and error but, I just installed the drivers again and it seems to be working but the black ink is faded. I cannot find my disc with the tool box software and I cant find it anywhere online. I was hoping that if I had the tool box, I can see the ink levels and see if there is something there to adjust the ink or a cleaning mode. Does anyone know where I can get the tool box? I cannot check the ink levels without it. I even downloaded the 2 updated links for the driver downloads on the dell support website and Its not there. 

009-654 2040000 Error on 1355CNW

Hi,

This printer has been working fine, then all of a sudden I am getting the error

009-654

2040000

and it no longer prints.  Network conenctivity is fine, I can connect to the web pages OK.

Does anyone have any idea what this error code means?  I can't see 204000 mentioned anywhere.

Above configuration, starting Dell Printer Home, I get the dialog, but whatever I click, nothing happens. Though starting Word and printing something works just fine. So driver is ok. What am I missing? Formally used ABBYY 6.0, but installed a new PC now.

Old Dell 3100CN Drivers That Work With Mac OS

Hello,

My school uses several Dell 3100CN color laser printers.  They are the only color printers we have and we're hoping they get updated with replacements soon.  In the meantime, many people use Macs.  People that have older Macs with leopard or snow leopard are able to print to them.  Those with newer Macs running Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra can't.  The only driver available that was last updated in 2011 won't install.  Is there any way to accomplish this?

Dell C1765nfw error midway through scan: "Scanner reported an error. Access to scanner is denied."

In OS X 10.12.3 (Sierra), I should be able to initiate a scan from my Dell C1765nfw as follows...

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Click Printers and Scanners
  3. Select Dell C1765nfw
  4. Click Open Scanner
  5. Click Scan

When I click Open Scanner, the scanner successfully completes as Overview scan - apparently demonstrating that the scanner is connected correctly.

However, a little over half way through the scan, I get

Scanner reported an error

Access to scanner is denied.

If I then close and re-open the scanner window, I get

An error occurred while communicating with the scanner (-9923)

then

Scanner not available

Can anyone suggest a reason why? Or even better a solution? I tried doubling every timeout I could find, but with no success. (My printer is connected wirelessly, and it's not really practical to change that.)

After installing the drivers yesterday I change the Wifi setting to Enable, restarted the printer and now just get a lit blank screen. Shows error but have no clue how to see this error. Any suggestions?

Im having problems connecting my printer to the wifi.  It used to work fine and the printer is right next to the wireless router. Now when scanning for networks it no longer finds the router next to it. It only sees and connects to a router much further away which I use as a backup.

The router it connects to is old compared to the one it no longer connects to. 

Anyone have any thoughts on how I can resolve the matter

C1760NW marks on margin

My new C1760NW works flawlessly. But it recently started printing faint cyan triangles all down the right hand side, even when just printing black text. The triangles are about 1/2" high and 1" apart all the way along. I suppose I should clean something, but don't know where to start, and the manual doesn't seem to address such an issue.

My Windows 7 computer no longer recognizes my printer. I have tried repeatedly to update the driver with no luck. It doesn't even recognize it as a printer.

Dell B3465dnf Printer Printing Dirty Background after Toner Replacement

I have a Dell B3465dnf and it worked fine until I replaced the toner cartridge recently.  The old toner was low so I replaced it with a new toner.  It printed a very dirty black background.  There were a lot of black particles on the image unit and they came back immediately after cleaning.  I had to switch back to the old toner and the problem went away.  Now the old toner is completely empty.  I have tried two new toner and the same problem appeared.  Someone has suggested to replace the image unit.  But I think the image unite is not the problem.  The image unit is low but it should not cause this problem otherwise the old toner should not have worked.
